Rosies Textile Mills (Nigeria) Limited started as a stitching outfit in 1954 at Port Harcourt as a sole proprietorship owned by the incumbent chairman, Chief J.I. Oji. An initio this business concern concentration on sewing of classified apparel and stitching of bed nets. The business which was started on a small scale began to grow and flourish as it enjoyed wider patronage so that more machines were acquired and more workers employed. However, this development was interrupted by the impact of the civil war, but after the war the chairman relocated the company to Aba and incorporated it in 1971 as a Private Limited Liability Company.

Since then, Rosies Textile Mills (Nigeria) Limited has been in the business of sewing of classified wears like NYSC wears, Police wears & badges, security wears, school children wears and others like T. shirts, Polo, Caps etc and stitching of bed nets, and has been a major supplier of the same to a wide range of customers both within and outside the country.

The experience we acquired over the years enhanced our skill and dexterity of sewing classified wears. It also accounted for the increase of our market share. The high demand of our products made the company to embark on forward integration by establishing Rosies Textile Mills in 1979, which was incorporated in 1984 as Rosies Textile Mills Ltd at Abayi Osisioma LGA, Aba, Abia State. The Advent of the establishment of Rosies Textile Mills Ltd has tremendously boosted the production of Rosies Textile Mills wears and bed nets because the raw materials (fabric) used in our Rosies Textile is manufactured in our Textile Mills and this shelves the problem of running out of raw materials due to unforeseen scarcity, this advantage gives us an edge over other competitors and has given us wider patronage.

The broad policy direction of the company is determined by her seasoned Management team of entrepreneurs that have been drawn from diverse but extremely rich professional backgrounds. They include the following:

Chief J.I. Oji – Chairman.
The chairman, Chief J.I. Oji, single handedly started the business in 1954 Port Harcourt. He is a man imbedded with practical experience of the textile and garments industry in Nigeria. His managerial skills have placed him as chairman of numerous companies including Iros Luggage Manufacturing Company, Inyanokoko Nigeria Ltd, Rosies Hotels Ltd and Rosies Garment Nigeria Limited.

Mr. Nnamdi I. Oji – Financial Director
The Financial Director, Nnamdi I. Oji studied in the University of North London where he got his first degree Accountancy. He was also awarded diploma in textile by Bolton Institute of High Education, London. He heads the Financial Department. Nnamdi I. Oji is the Vice Chairman African Net Manufacturers Association. He sits on the WHO’s Technical Committee on specification on Insecticide Treated bed nets. He is also on the board of Fidelity Bank Plc.

Engr. Ikechi I. Oji – Technical Director
Technical Director, Ikechi I. Oji, bagged a degree in Engineering from University of Portsmouth England. He had worked with Norland Management Services England. He is a seasoned Engineer.

Mr. Okoro Chidi Darlington
Designation: Marketing Manager
Qualification:
(a) Higher National Diploma in Marketing from Abia State Polytechnic, Aba.
(b) Diploma in Business Studies from Abia State Polytechnic, Aba.-
(c) PGD: Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Imo State University, Owerri.
(d) MBA: Master Degree in Marketing from Imo State University.
